About the 5th grade team
My name is Jason Cross. This is my 18th year of teaching, all of which have been in the CVESD. I opened the school with Dr. McLaren 11 years ago. I attended UCLA and earned my teaching credential from SDSU. I love swimming, the beach, and vacations with my family.
I have been teaching for 17 years. I taught primary grades until I was hired at Wolf Canyon 7 years ago. Since joining the Wolf Canyon Pack, I have taught 5th grade all 7 years. I'm originally from Sacramento where I received my BA in Child Development and Masters in Education. I enjoy being outdoors and playing sports. You will find me most often on a soccer field being a soccer mom to my son, who attends Wolf Canyon.
I have taught for 13 years in Chula Vista and 11 of those years have been spent here at Wolf Canyon. I earned my Bachelor's and Teaching Credential from SDSU. I also received my Master's Degree in Curriculum and Instruction in Science from the University of Texas at Arlington. Usually, I am the chauffeur to my two kids driving them to gymnastics, soccer and piano. In my free time, I love reading, playing with my three dogs and when I get a chance, riding my horse.
